Buisness:

The meeting was called to order at 7:45 a.m. by COHDs’ Vice-President Susan Hanrahan. The meeting was a joint meeting of the College of Health Deans (COHDs) and the North East Regional Deans (NERDs). Attendees made their introductions

The minutes of the October 24, 2013 COHD meeting were reviewed and approved.

Greg Frazier, COHDs’ Treasurer distributed the Treasurer’s Report. Note was made that $2000 had been sent to the ASAHP Scholarship Fund in memory of Dr. David Gale.

Attendees were encouraged to provide information to President Barry Eckert to update the COHDs’ website.

The date and site for the Summer Meeting were discussed. It was agreed that the meeting will be in San Francisco on July 17-18, 2014. Suggested topics included: Measurement of Faculty Productivity, Academic Rigor, Ethical Legal Issues of Student Retention, Students with Disabilities and Special Needs, and Kaiser’s Accountable Care Organization (AC0). Members interested in planning the program were encouraged to volunteer.

New Business item was discussed to consider the merger of the NERDs and the COHDs. NERDs’ President Julie O’Sullivan Maillet will check with the NERDs. Financial status and bylaws will be checked by both organizations.
