Meeting was called to order by President Barry Eckert at 7:50 a.m. Introductions were provided by attendees.
Minutes of the October 29, 2015 meeting in Scottsdale, Arizona were reviewed and approved as distributed.
President Eckert presented the Treasurer’s Report on behalf of Treasurer Frazer who was not in attendance. As of March 11, 2016, the checking account balance was $42,491.01.
President Eckert's Report:
The COHD website will be updated with new technology allowing for payment of registrations and more online features. Members were encouraged to check and update their university’s information.
The COHD summer meeting will be in Asheville, NC on July 25-26, 2016. Program agenda will be developed at a later date. Members were asked to send in agenda topics. Attendees suggested topics to consider for the meeting: clinical rotations, IPE, student retention, and SARA. President Eckert will check with Celia Hooper for possible local speakers.
An update of COHD’s contribution to the ASAHP Scholarship Fund was discussed. A motion was made to donate $2000 to the fund. Motion by Linda Petrosino, and seconded by Susan Hanrahan. Motion passed. A suggestion was made to challenge other regional deans’ groups to make donations to the scholarship fund.
