Buisness:

The meeting was called to order by President Eckert at 12:15.

Due to the absence of our beloved secretary, Ruth Welborn, there were no minutes. There was a motion to let her know how much she was missed but it failed for a lack of a second.

Treasurer Frazer gave his report. The financial report as of March 8, 2010 was circulated. COHD has $13,152 in investments and $21,079 in checking. Our cost for the Boston summer meeting was $1617.53. $2000 has also been paid out to the Scholarship of Excellence fund (10/09). The list of paid and unpaid members were circulated. The treasurer’s report was accepted.

President Eckert reported that the website has not been updated. The group voted to spend funds to hire someone to bring the website up to date.

The summer meeting was discussed. Chicago is the site of the conference. July 15-16 are the dates (full day Thurs and half day Fri) and the NERDS will once again co-sponsor. Rush University will host. There was discussion about hotels and their location. Potential program topics include: workforce; health care reform; respiratory therapy update; international committee update and advancement. A subcommittee will be formed among the two regional deans groups to finalize the program and the speakers. It was also noted that the Phillies were in town to play the Cubs on Thurs night and Fri afternoon.

The meeting adjourned at 1:15.
